Looking for help with the following programming. Here's the background:

Innovative Marine 200EXT 72" long 30" wide
Two stream 3+'s on the rear wall in each corner pointed at each other. One is positioned about 6 inches higher than the other so they are not on the same plane. Each has the flow rectifier.

The apex has the following configuration for each pump

LEFT RIGHT
Synch Yes Yes
Divide 10 Yes Yes
initial off 0 40
On Time 40 40
Off Time 40 0

Each ramps up to 40% in an alternating fashion. This works great except I get a sand storm in the middle of the tank where the flows meet. Ideally I would have both pumps in the middle of the back wall pointed in opposite directions, but due to plumbing of the overflow this is not possible. I can try to move them closer to the middle, but I doubt it will be close enough not to have flows "hitting" each other. Is there anyway to program a pause in between when the left pump turns off and the right pump turns on? I feel like 3-4 seconds would be enough time for the flow to make it to the other side before the alternating pump turns on.

So the request is the following:

Left On 4 seconds, Left off, Pause 4 seconds, Right On 4 seconds, Right off, Pause 4 seconds, etc. Essentially there would be a period where both pumps are completely off.

I have never used an Apex so I would have no guidance on the programming. I am sure some users could help. One thing to keep in mind though is you almost never want a Stream 3 to turn off, the restart cycle takes some seconds, it has to relevitate the magnet and sync everything up and this takes time, so the pumps will tend to stay off if they turn off and they are on only some short seconds. 5% is generally the equivalent of off and is a very low idle. In general below 3.2- 3.3V is off, anything 6.5-6.7V or higher is 100% if there is a setting for the control voltage signal. There is some minor variation between pumps so it is best to start with 3.3 and 6.7 as the range.

Thank you for the reply. Is there anyway to do this on the Tunze controllers? I'm not married to Apex, the only draw is that I can slow the pumps down at night. But I think that can be done with the photocell.

Not with 4 pumps, if you just want to dim them at night, 2 Y connectors and 2 photocell 7097.050 will do that, they will switch to whatever pulse power is for the night. You can also pair the 2 Y connected pumps so they do the opposite of each other, but there is not a way with the stock controller to get all 4 working together.
