I have several leathers in my LPS/softy tank and have been dosing brightwell reef builder and iodine for almost a year and a half with no issues. The owner of my LFS suggests I separately dose strontium because he claims leathers use up a lot of it and can stunt my LPS. I have never heard this... Can anyone else shed some light on it? Or is it just a sales gimmick?

Thanks that's what I thought too. Plus the brightwell reef builder has it in it

Routine water changes probably provide enough Strontium to meet the corals needs. Sounds like a classic case of someone trying to make a sale to me.

+1.
