I am planning on building a floating canopy using 1x7.5 PVC trim board. I would like to rest the 48" Aquatic life T5 Hybrid fixture inside it. The total weight of the T5 fixture with 2 XR15 G4 and 1 XR30 G4 is around 27lbs. Will adding a 1x2 PVC trim board on the two side of the canopy be enough to support the T5 hybrid fixture? Planning to use 5-6 pocket hole screws to attached it. Planning to attach the canopy to two studs using two TV mount bracket 44lbs weight limit each.
I tried to draw it out. Any help would be really appreciated.

I would suspend the lights then figure out a way to attach the canopy to the lights.
I have a high ceiling and was therefore trying to attach it to the wall. I saw some YouTube videos where one guy used an iron rod and another one use thick wood dowels to attach the canopy to the wall, I am leaning towards that, but worried sure about the long term stability.
