Suggestions for Nano Inhabitant

OK - so in my 26 gallon nano I have the following:

- Diamond Goby
- 2 Clowns
- Royal Gramma

I HAD a flameback angel - but he kept picking on the goby - and somehow, someway - the flameback lost that fight.

I'm looking to replace the angel with a less aggressive, yet still colorful fish w/ personality... but it obviously cant be prone to issues with other fish in the tank, and it cant eat soft corals. Any suggestions?

I’m fairly certain you can’t put two gobies in a small tank together.

He already has a goby, in a tank this size they'll fight.

Consider replacing the diamond goby with a smaller one, diamonds need a bigger tank and will be more aggressive in a tank this size. I would replace it with a pinkbar or spotted goby. As for the other fish, if you want a active swimmer I would get a firefish, I you want a rock dweller, a lawnmower blenny would be great.

I always recommend a pink-streaked! Mine has been such an awesome addition to the 14!

You can have goby with a Goby. with no problems. It just can't be 2 of the same kind of Goby.

Depends on the species of goby. Not all are sand dwellers ( I would definitely avoid any more sand dwelling fish). I would suggest a clown goby, they are small, peaceful and like to perch on rocks.

Not all gobies are sand sifters. Firefish is an example. Court Jester is another example. You can have more than one. Just not two cour jester gobies or two firefish in the same tank. 26g is large enough to house... Honestly you do you.

No worries, I just know of people that keep all kinds of Gobies together. You just can't have 2 of the same Goby. Come to think there is one who has a Goby only tank. They are all Nano gobies and do well together.

A Midas blenny would be nice too. They have a neat swimming pattern and underrated coloring

A firefish would be a good option!
