So since starting my evo 13.5, the sand is starting to get the brown look and I’m looking for suggestions as to what I need to clean it up? I know I can do my water changes and sift through the sand but I didn’t know if there is a fish that would clean it up?

in my tank now...
2 clowns
1 blue velvet Damsel
1 peppermint shrimp
1 blood red shrimp
2 turbo snails
5 blue leg hermit crab
1 emerald crab

The brown on the sand is prob diatoms. Normal new tank syndrome
It should pass with time
There is nothing really that will eat them.

There are some gobies that will sift through the sandbed, but they will often drop sand in places you don't want...like on your corals.

I agree that it is a part of having a new tank. Make sure your parameters stay where you want them and just wait it out.

agreed plus this tank is too small to add anymore fish. maybe add a couple nassarius snail to keep the sandbed stirred up but otherwise it will probably go away in time if its diatoms
