Recently converted an old Calcium Reactor in to a Sulfur De-Nitrator. I will post the progress of the De-Nitrator in case anyone is interested.

Installed Denitrator 6-28-20
Nitrate drip 70ppm (yes, 70!!! Same as aquarium.)

6-30-20
Drip rate 1 per second.
Nitrate drip 20ppm.

Can I ask where you got your sulfur media
After searching for months to find aquarium Sulfur, I gave up and ordered from Amazon. This product is listed as “99% Pure” and is intended for gardening. I ordered waaaay too much, and have a 2.5 of the 4 bags left over. It was much less expensive than those listed on aquarium store sites. I am watching all water parameters very carefully as I don’t know what that other 1% is.

if you’d like, I can post the link I used.

I increased drip rate to 2 drops per second, and will measure again tomorrow.

Hard to understand how you got nitrate down to zero in three days frankly. Took me about a month for the denitrating bacteria to grow in adequate volumes to start to get the nitrate down.
