I thought about that, it would help enough to keep my tank normal temp?

Make sure your auto top-off reservoir is large enough to keep up with the evaporation. Evaporation can remove a lot of heat from a tank especially if located in a dry climate.

I freeze small blocks of rodi water in margarine containers, and add them to the tank as needed

I’m in South Florida. A fan in the sump will lower by several degrees. Vornado has a desk one under $20 that I use in the cabinet and it dropped about 4 degrees off the tank (75G display)
