Sump Covers

Has anyone made covers for a waterbox or other brand sump? I am looking to make some out of clear acrylic. I am trying to keep the splashing and salt creep down. I am not sure how much of the sump I should cover as I am not sure if the covers will inhibit air exchange at all.

if you cover the drain section, that should be good enough to reduce/eliminate salt creep. if using acrylic sheets, it should be relatively easy to create your own cover/lid. i'd actually do the initial rough draft with egg crate since it'll be easier to cut down to size. from there you take the measurements and cut the acrylic.
