Now my question is how do I do this safely ? I can’t remove the sump that’s out of the question so do I use a dremel ? Metal blade ? Jig saw ? I need suggestions please

I think your safest bet would be a dremel with a plastic cutting wheel and maybe wedging some cardboard underneath while you cut it to catch any debris

Most important element is containing the debris from cutting it. Also, make sure you leave some of the material along the edge as that is also serving as bracing for the sump itself.
