Im building a 75 gallon reef tank and i need a sump, my budget is around $300. Ive been looking at eshopps 100 and 200 series, it would be nice to be a little large for the 75 in case i upgrade to a 125 or 150 later. Are there any other good options i should be looking at in this price range?

I really like my fijicube sump. However it's really all personal preference.

I'm running an eShopps R200 (1st gen) on my 75g and it as served me well. It has enough room for the skimmer in the first chamber and an adequate refugium in the second chamber but I dont think it's available any longer and the current generation looks all but useless to me with all the small chambers. The Trigger 30 is basically the same thing as the 1st gen eShopps and would get a good recommendation from me. Below is how I configured it.

You could get a 40b @ Petco for $50 ($1/gal sale ends in a couple days) and install the Fijicube sump kit. Would cost about $200 total and be plenty big for an upgrade down the road.

I am using a 29g for my 75 build and will be installing the Exotic Marine Systems sump kit once it arrives.

I would also recommend the Trigger 30. I’m running one on my 72 bowfront. The drain/skimmer section is plenty big enough to handle a larger skimmer if you were to upgrade the tank size down the road. I think I paid 250.00ish for the sump.
