A wide open skimmer is another lullabye... lol

Not sure how close to the tank you sleep, but QUIET is not really possible. (especially at 3:30 in the morning) GL.

Thanks guys. I just extended the drain pipes below the waterline and it’s pretty quiet. I used to have a diy kind of stand of foam gradients, but recently took them out and it’ll probably stay that way as nitrates were running a bit low, and I also can’t be bothered really cleaning them ! That’s why the drain was so far above the waterline
