Sump Layout Advice

Hi guys, I had a setup quite a few years ago that I’m resurrecting in the next couple of months, but wanted to modify my old sump to include a refugium by adding three new pieces of glass, creating a bubble trap before the return pump.
I want to put the skimmer in the 2nd chamber of the sump along with a media reactor.
Can anyone advise the best reactor, if it’s needed at all and the advantages.
If the new layout looks ok & the glass spacing would work? Any advise on filtration in the first chamber too please. I’m thinking a combination of MarinePure spheres, plates and or Siporax.

personally I would put the refugium before the skimmer as e.g. many macro algae uses nitrates and phosphates to grow and the skimmers goal is to remove them.

good idea with the filter thingy after the refugium

I dont know enough about bio balls to provide any advice
