Hi everyone.

I recently set up a 33gal (125l) cube, and it's currently in the middle of the cycle.

I was thinking about adding some algae and copepods to the refugium to eventuali help me with nitrate and diatoms.

This is a picture of my sump: water falls through the first phase, passes through that UV light, then falls on to the second one (where I keep the media and heater for now) and then goes back to the return pump through the filtration chamber.

Ideally I'll put a skimmer and the algae in the second part, but let me know what you guys think.

Livestock: none yet, I'll add a pair of ocellaris, a goby+shrimp combo, some brittle starfish, a few shrimp and some corals. Nothing major.

Suggestions for improvement are appreciated.

As you describe it the second chamber has a constant water level? If so then yeah you will want the skimmer in their. Macro algae can and probably should go in their as well, but make sure it does not get sucked into your skimmer pump and cause issues.
