Sure that would work but it looks like very small sections.
What are the dims of each section.
A fuge is really not needed, imo.
If you run no fuge you can run no baffles.
Here is a pic of my 40 breeder on my 120.
I ran a nano with a sump similar to your design.
Small section are hard to service.

Sorry but there’s some issues.
Don’t want skimmer with return pump (bubbles)
Think separate jug/tub/container fir top of better.
Would do socks then skimmer than fuge then return

Thanks mate! And yes it’s a rickenbacker! I’m an avid guitar player!

Thanks! Does it not need walls? Yours looks to be working well

With no fuge their is no need for walls/baffles, imo.
I run 2 systems this way.
Filter sock, skimmer, return pump, small 1 cup carbon reactor, calcium reactor, and heater.
I run all Tunze equipment.

A few weeks late to the conversation but I agree with this. I have an Aqueon 4 sump. The design has the return and the skimmer in the same chamber. So, if the skimmer overflows (say when you restart or do a big top off or whatever) .. that skimmate gets sucked right back to the DT. I have a foam block on my return pump to help buffer that (and bubbles).
Ideally, I'm either going to kill the fuge when I move the sump to the new build or I'm going to start fresh with a new sump.
