Are you using the tank as a sump or display tank?

Why don't you utilize them and run a sump with the tank? You could put one together for pretty cheap.
Agree with this.. A sump itself is pretty inexpensive. If your tank is already pre-drilled for the plumbing, then setting it up should be a snap. For what you will spend to cap it off, you can spend a bit more and utilize them

There's lots of info out there on how to do it. The benefits of having one are worth the time and effort

You could put a bulkhead in the hole. Then blank the bulkhead with a piece of pvc and a cap
... but wouldnt the weight of the water break the cap? The water pressure?

It'll be fine, and it looks like the holes are in the bottom of the tank, so if you put the pvc/cap in from above, not below, the water pressure will actually push everything together tighter instead of trying to force it apart. Besides, properly primed and glued PVC is a whole lot stronger than you'd imagine.

Having said all that. Make sure that whatever you end up doing you plan ahead. If you want to add a sump someday, you'll be kicking yourself if you made those holes unusable.

Setting up a sump is fairly easy. Google "reef bulkhead kit" and should find a kit that gives you almost everything you need(extras will be plumbing from the bulkheads to sump/return pump). Can be done for less than $100 if you got pump already). Just make sure if you go the kit route to make sure sizes are correct.

Are there any other ways to cover those holes besides with pvc tube covers? Thanks
