Does anyone use their sump refugium section for another purpose? I have a trigger emerald sump and now thinking of not having a refugium. Any ideas?

Let us say you have a lot of rock in your display tank. You want to change up the aquascape a bit. You now have a couple pieces of rock left over. Empty space in a sump can hold that rock and you just kept your biological filter / balance, in check.

Short answer is if you have room in your sump you can put things in there to support your system be it a heater or rock.
