Hi can I have some advice please currently setting up at aqua one 99ltr reef and would like to put a small sand bed in sump it only has 2 chambers the first one has skimmer and heater the second has return pump can I add a separate small tank to sump section full of sand so its away from return pump and won’t pump sand back into main tank it would be about 10 x 5 x 10 inches
Hope that makes sense

sand in the sump usually makes for more cleaning and maintenance down there. Any reason for wanting to put sand down there? will there be sand in the display?

Thanks for the response I was told it was a good idea to add to the breakdown of waste etc what would you recommend
