hey guys wondering if anyone can help me out. i got my first sun polyp and he opens up so much, i’ve been feeding him day by day but he still opens up a lot and his mouth as well. now he’s got his mesenterial filaments out. i dont think he was fed where i bought him, i’ve been giving squid and mysis.. maybe i should go bigger? what do you think? thanks!

i think it’s a dendro! ok will do, he really enjoys eating and is always open. are there any bigger foods you recommend to feed maybe?

i think your doing just fine, don't fix if not broke ;) let us know if behavior changes while skipping a day feeding:cool:

I own a couple colonies of these guys, i love them :) yours looks great and i would continue to feed mysis daily to every other day. they dont require large food just regular feedings. This is what i do for mine and they grow well. In case you didnt know they are non photosynthetic so they need to be fed regularly to be healthy and grow.
