You are all recommending things you know nothing about as you have no connection to manufacturing companies and do not know the contents. I would suggest keeping your tank crashing opinions to yourself. Sounds mean but sorry it is a factual situation . Do you give financial advice out too ?

My recommendation is based on my own research which I have done in the past. Which spawned from me fact checking research from others. And also I suggest this from my own experience of using this exact glue for many years. And from taking the recommendation from many many other people who all have used this glue for many years.

While many other brands and types of glue might be just as safe, or even the exact same product but rebranded and cheaper or more expensive, I have not researched them and don’t feel comfortable recommending anything besides what I am confident in. Gorilla super glue gel

I’ve used that same loctite ultragel superglue and it has been fine for me without any issues. But you can save yourself some money and just buy some bulk packs of whatever your favorite or cheapest glue is in the small 3g tubes and reuse that holder from the loctite package. Also I’ve noticed that loctite holder doesn’t get all the glue out of a tube.

I was just worried about liability as an example someone giving electrical installation advice with no license. I have heard people love to sue one another in the US

f all that was stated in your reply I would not have been worried. I was concerned more with repercussions for you and the forum. I felt a reply almost maybe was offensive was in order. See my other reply. Nothing personal lots of others involved. As I said if this was stated in your earlier post I would not have reacted. Plus if a manufacturer does not state it as reef safe then to me you are on your own. Some things in my opinion has no price tag ie my Tank well being. I realize that when it comes down to it we are taking declarations from manufacturers blindly as the example with Randy Holmes Farley proving hat a product contained Aluminium when the Manufacturer denied it. Back to it good luck if the advertised reef safe glue crashed your tank in getting anything from the manufacturer. But an individual could make your life miserable and force you to get a lawyer. I heard that's how it works in the US. So just trying to save you grief sorry

CA is in gorilla glue, no one here is crashing a tank using gorilla glue. A majority of all reefers use it

Like I told others please read my replies no " I am better than you " post If you all stated that you did it yourself than I would not have reacted in the way I did. I was trying to save you grief and the forum as well . People should state that it is an opinion , or experience at the beginning of their posts. WE don't know one another's skill sets for the most part. WE should not expect a new person to take advice that is not qualified. A lot of people come across as arrogant and pretend to be experts. It took me a lot of time when I first joined to become aware of other members expertise if you will. I am rough around the edges I know so it was a learning curve for me as well.

I want to agree with the point about not making claims based on assumptions and hearsay, and qualifying claims with their subjective nature when that's what they are -- but I'm having a hard time doing so with the political baggage attached to that point.

Most of what one hears about lawsuits and being dragged to court in the real world is one-off or greatly exaggerated. As far as Super Glue goes, I haven't used it, but based on what many reefers have said about different forms, I am confident it is ok.

I was talking about the glue a new member was asking about. I use 2 different kinds both say Aquarium safe , I also use tunz Coral epoxy " Gum " and am using Aquarium safe Silicon right now

Thanks. They know everything about you before you drive up to the Kiosk . I go down at least twice a month. I try and help Donny improve his short game. Maybe I will ask him if you can come and advise us both. He really needs it more than me

I just buy the cheapest super glue gel from dollar tree....its cheap and works. I never gave it a thought
