Hey, R2R.

I'm overdue to replace the T5's over my 90 gallon mixed reef. These are supplemental 4x54w lights as the fixture also has 2x250w 14k pheonix halides. I'm looking for night viewing and color pop. Haven't been shopping for T5's in a year so just wanted to make sure I haven't missed anything recently. Does this sound about right?

I'm tempted to try 2x Super actinic's in the middle but I seem to remember this being more of a pinkish light and not very appealing.

From front to back:
ATI Blue+
Actinic
ATI Purple+
ATI Blue+
ATI Coral+ (or KZ NewGen 14k)
ATI Blue+
Actinic

Hope this helps and thanks to FishBeard!!!

It doesn't but I appreciate the attempt! haha : )

What you suggested is great for a stand-alone, 8 bulb t5 ONLY setup. You need the entire spectrum for optimal viewing so there are white light's mixed in with the blues/reds. In my original question, the main source of viewing light comes from my 250w halides. I'm just looking for blue supplemental lighting that is appealing at night and causes the corals to pop a bit through the 14k metal halide.

Oh, and while I'm on the subject my GF has the Odyssea 18" T5/Halide combo over her 34g cube. I'm going to get a new Pheonix 14k 150w for her but her T5's are listed as 18w actinics. I'd never even heard of 18w t5's. Any suggestions for 2 blue/actinic, supplemental lighting at 18w?
