I want to do T5 in my canopy on my 4ft 120g build. Would these fit or is the 48” version too close of a fit in a canopy ? The description on BRS says to have 2” of clearance on the end for the power cord. Is it better to go with the 36” version and just place low light corals along the edges ?

The 48 will not fit on any brand that I have seen...unless you drill a hole in the side for the cord to come out. If you were to drill a hole for the cord some brands claim to be like 47.75 inches long not counting the cord

Also, could 4 T5 bulbs with two of the Reefbrite xHO actinic strips support a mixed reef ? Or would 6 be better ? SPS would be montipora and birdsnest and tank is a standard 4 x 2 x 2 120g.
