Here's a shot in the dark. Does anyone know if the ballast for a 48" hybrid fixture will work for 36" fixture.
I have an older aquatic life 48" hybrid fixture that I'm modifying to 36" by disassembling and cutting it to fit my new display. I'm also swapping one ballast to the other end so both plugs are on the same side. Both ballasts fire up without issue, I just need to know if the ballast will be too much for a shorter bulb. I'm no electrician.

Nevermind. They have the correct replacement 39W ballasts on BRS. $25 ea. I'm going to get 2 to replace the 54W ballasts in the unit and not take a risk.
