;Snaphappy;GreedyThanks guys!
Here's a little update...
We think we have everything were we want it and everyone is settling in nicely.
Added 2 of the 4 hydra 32s that came with the tank to our lights ( 2 xr30 g4 and 1 hydra 32) and now get even spread the whole 6'. All lights are at 20% and getting about the same par as the last readings.
Already getting coraline spots on the bottom of the tank, which is pretty exciting for how long we have had it running.
Also added our first SPS, a green mili a couple days ago and so far its doing well.
Wanted to add a new fish that would finish out our BIG fish slection and most likely be the last of the larger fish we add. We want to leave space for them all to sleep well.
We are excited to say we chose a Gem tang and have her/him in his QT for the moment.
Still trying to figure out all of the Apex programming and I believe its my hesitancy to trust what I am doing that limits what I'm using at the moment lol.
Overall we are really happy with the way things are going and can't Wait to really see the tank take off.
Thank you all for the support and stopping in!
Yeah right?! Shipped out already assembled mannnn might nice for the Uber lazy people ;WootIt looks insane!
For those that just want to set up and go it looks to be nice and easy....but at the cost of the big boy I might be checking into a custom
Ok so heres the morning update...
Took about 2 hours to get everything broken down and packed up. There were 6 of us there and the owner of the reef shop was a huge help...paid of course hahah
Then it took the rest of the day unloading and cleaning everything.
This is where I asked a 3 kids that work for me to help out and threw them some cash to lift the tank inside with me.
Mush easier than we anticipated with the use of suction cups!
We have all of the coral and fish in the ATO while the water and rocks in the tank warm up. We still have about 150# of rock to clean that we will add slowly after we get all the hair algea off of it lol
All in all I feel it went really well and today and tomorrow I will tackle the sump and plumbing.
Here are some photos and more will come!
Almost kept him in the DT but he has internal parasites so he's in a QT until further noticeLove the build and all the beautiful corals!
...But I hope that fish in the pic on the above right is doing ok.. he's just lying on the bottom!?
Thank you very much, it is indeed a lot of fun!!Looks like you have a great start on a fun project
