Surgery in the future...

As some may have heard I have a broken foot. I went an orthopedic dr this morning and he advised that I have a fractured bone in the top part of the foot just below the ankle. The bad thing is that the tendons and ligaments "popped" which will require surgery. He said that i could try wearing a cast for three months to see if it healed properly and if it didn't have the surgery then. Or I can go ahead and have the surgery now and should be fully recovered in three months. So i guess I will go ahead and have the surgery now and get it over with.
This is my first broken bone and will be my first surgery ever so please wish me luck! I am very nervous about it:neutral:. But I should have plenty of good R2R time during the recovery period!

I just got finished having rods put in to my left ankle. I broke my Distal Fibula. The surgery went fast and everything went ok. I am still healing 2 weeks after surgery.

I ruptured my Achilles Tendon...I had surgery and was in a cast for over 3 months...Im still doing physical therapy...But I suggest surgery and that way you dont waste anytime...Good luck

Couple of Christmas eve ago ... I slipped and bang both knees down on a small ice mount which fractured my left knee and was told by that I may need surgery done if the tendon and ligament tear doesn't heal up properly and it did ... pphheeww!!

Being in a caste for a few months was no fun .... showering, sitting down and the occasional itch inside the caste .... aarrghhh :xd: !!

Now taking the caste off was another story ... stinkkyyyy :squigglemouth:

Dave, you will be fine. Right shoulder scoped in 98, Had C5-C7 fused in 2000, Right Ankle ligament shortened in 2001, Right wrist fused in 2003. It all turned out well, you will be fine!!!
