@Reeferbadness Are your Damsels the Dascyllus? They get big, ugly, and mean as heck. Sounds like a good plan though, healthy fish > crowded tank.

What’s the other Tang you have, not your Gem? Maybe post a pic and someone here can ID it.

let me know ..... i'm kind of embarrassed that i don't recall the name :)

@bradreef @argiBK thanks to both of you for your replies. ***UPDATE*** I want to get into the practice of thanking respondents but also closing things out for future readers with an update... so 8 days later, i'm happy to report all is fine in the tank. The first 24-48 hrs. were definitely harassing to the Swallowtail, but presently they've both learned to co-exist. The Swallowtail shows no agression and moves actively throughout the entire day and the Powder Blue has learned to accept him in the community. Everyone is doing fine. So the powder blue has come to realize the Swallowtail is not a threat, but occasionally he will nip at him and push him around to subtly remind him as he goes about his day. So all in all its been a good week of progress and no need to remove or reintroduce anyone. I've only learned after the fact of introducing the PBT towards the very end, but we live and learn. The PBT does like to assert his position on everyone now, but for future readers i can report back that over time, the Swallotail and PBT will work itself out. If anything changes, will update accordingly.
