He ate a few pieces of mysis when I fed tonight, but still seems content picking at the LR. A guess a little bit of mysis is better than nothing, though. I'm heading to the LFS tomorrow and I'll grab a nice variety of stuff to try out.

Today was a good day! I fed the tank a mix of PE mysis and Formula Two and the Regal was eating pretty aggressively. The aggression from the yellow tang has almost completely subsided and the Regal has been much more active because of it. Things are looking up! 1smile1

Well a couple more days have gone by and now he's eating aggressively! Now he's eating mysis, formula 2, fresh clam on the half shell, chopped oyster, & krill. Here's a couple pics from yesterday.

Nope, they're still in there. So far I haven't seen him nipping at the clams or any corals, but I'm keeping a close eye on him.

hey, i havent had time to go threw all 47 pages, so if my question has been asked, im sorry. Which leds are those, and would you recommend them? How would you say the growth is from them?

Thanks! I've wanted one forever, and I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger. Thus far he's been a model citizen and I've had no problems with him nipping at clams or corals.

They're the 2nd generation LED fixtures from Reef Filtration. Luke no longer imports this particular model, but still carries several fixtures. I'm very happy with the fixtures and would reccomend them to anyone. The growth has been equal to that of every other lighting system I've used, but I also use a T5 fixture over my tank, so I can't comment on any growth under just the LEDs. Although I'm confident that the LEDs are perfectly capable of growing coral on their own, the T5s allow me to tweek the color and provide the means for a dawn/dusk cycle. How many hours are you running your lights. I have the new 18k reef filtration leds and im adding T5s and Im looking for a starting point on scheduling my lights on and off times. I looked through your entire thread and couldnt find a mention of it. I may have missed it though.

Thats crazy color. I am having the hardest time getting that kind of color. I run 3 AI sol Blues and about 150 watts of t5 and I cant get that color. Can you share your lighting schedule? You say you like blue, how blue is your tank? 20k plus? Great tank buddy.

Thanks Stpatrick! My tank is probably about 20k, perhaps a little less blue during the "high noon" portion of the light cycle. The full lighting schedule along with the T5 bulbs I use can be found in the link I posted above your post.

Well today I noticed that one of my bulkheads is leaking in my right overflow. :beat_shot: While working under the tank I saw a drip out of the corner of my eye from the stand down to the floor about midway on the tank. I was afraid that the bottom seam was failing, but once I cut off the return pump & the overflow drained the dripping stopped. Looks like I have project cut out for tomorrow...
