Hi all I have a question that I find multiple different answers to whilst looking online!!!

My question is will anything happen to my live sand live rock if I move to a slightly bigger tank 1 week in to my tank being set up ???

I have read it will kill everything and some say it's ok

It all depends on how you transport it.. make sure your rock and sand doesn't get too hot/cold during transport as both can kill the bacteria. Make sure it all stays wet, and that the bacteria has a source of ammonia if they're being kept for more than a few hours out of the tank

Usually for transporting LR you can get away with wrapping it up in wet paper towel, and sticking it in a styrofoam container. With your sand, you'll probably want to transport in buckets with shallow water (add a heater if needed)

It took me literally 1 and half hour to swap all over and rock was kept in heated salt water with a powerhead in it and sand was kept wet swapping between tanks
