SWC Xtreme 300 Skimmer

I've got a SWC Xtreme 300 skimmer. I really don't like the Sicce pumps on it.
Are there some better pumps that would be a direct replacement? Would it be
possible to plug on side and run a larger single pump on it?

Bubble Blaster 4000-5000? Two 3000's?

I run a Bubble Blaster 3000 on my 250. Runs like a dream, zero start-up issues, plus it screwed right on. Got it in the mail and had it running in about 5 minutes. That was two years ago, still running strong.
