Hey guys! I need to replace 2 valves because the handles are broken off. My question before I do that though, is would I be able to run a sump instead? Would love to do away with the reactors. It’s a 75g tank with a 10g manifold that run to two reactors and at one time a UV.. The two pipes going into the tank are intake/return. The pump for the intake is in the back manifold chamber.I also have a pump on each side of tank that runs bulkheads. My question is, what would I need to do to get it sump ready? Obviously re plumb, would I just need a stronger pump for my back chamber to pull water through sump??

Certainly can be swapped out into a tank with a sump, but with the information (or lack of clarity :) ) provided it's not easy to help provide an accurate, workable plumbing solution.

In simple terms, the sump is a place to hold two things, equipment and the system water when the power shuts off and overflow water moves into the sump.

To design a system with this tank, more clarity on the water movement, the existing path and bulkhead fittings, pipe diameters, intank or external overflow specs, and some folks on here can provide assistance. SOmeone may have already modded the exact same tank to add a sump?

More pictures, measurements, but almost certainly something can be done?

How is the water fed under your tank to the manifold and reactors? I'm guessing a pump?
If it is a pump this is a closed loop system, meaning all water just passes through water tight equipment and back into the tank.
You would not be able to add a sump into this setup because you cannot pump water into a sump it must free flow. You would need an overflow box or a drilled tank to run a sump properly.
