Switching from Radion G5 Blue to T5

They a very v shaped in the spread, when mounted higher they are great lights. I would get lower PAR spots higher in the tank. I have settled on my final lighting configuration and I’m finally happy.

Ha! I have still been ramping the lights and testing the PAR. These lights only increase in 5% increments. So far so good!

Looks solid man that’s a very nice long tank too !

I went DIY, kessil and orphek bars. Got dusk till dawn, adjustable spectrum, natural shimmer, no heat and I don’t have to buy replacement T5’s. I also installed a small blue LED in the middle of fixture for moonlighting. For me, the perfect combo, cause I covered every single requirement I was looking for in a fixture.

how do you like those light bars? i wanted reefbrights but there way to much money

On a 5 foot acro tank, I am guessing I would need three of these. What do you think?

Any chance you could shoot some closer video of your rail hanging setup? Am I right that you are on another (Straton) thread? I might be able to figure it out from there; will look again.

The aesthetic police are very strict in my house as the tank is in a high visibility and high traffic location. The Authorities are still not loving the hulking 5 ft Sunpower even though the corals do. But the new install nust look OCD level clean.
