Switching out led diodes. Worth it?

Acquired this older led setup setup . Would like more royal blue diodes . But I don't know the first thing about modifying leds. Or sure if this board can be changed. Any tips at all would help greatly

Man those are really hard to change out, imo. I'd not do it. Making it easier to change out LEDs, get like a MARS unit, way easier to modify to your liking.
 
Great idea! Thank you. I've been bitten by the bug to eventually get a black box led modified to be controlled by Apex or something similar. These lights will do as is for the time being haha
