I've been battling red slime it's only on my sandbed. Just used ultralife red slime remover still have did two doses. Could I siphon out my sandbed it's only half to one inch thick and replace with some caribesea live sand. Would that help my problem?

Maybe? Only if that is the source of the nutrients though. Did you use old sand or used sand?

Red slime will grow on bare bottoms too.. The reason it grows on the sand is because generally its not a high flow area.

If you change it out, do a small section at a time. Say 1/4 once every week to allow it to become seeded with bacteria.
