Morning guys. I usually use instant ocean salt mix when making my water change water. I have never dosed magnesium or calcium and all my LPS is flourishing. I am thinking about switching to instant ocean reef mix. Will this help my corals at all or will it throw things out of wack since everything is doing good now and the new mix has higher parameter levels? I do add reef+ and Kent marine essential elements which most likely contains those two things weekly (I have no idea what’s in the additives just that they help).

I personally prefer normal IO to Reef Crystals.

My suggestion is to get alkalinity and calcium kits. If those are very low, you might get a magnesium kit too. If they are OK, magnesium will be fine.
