I’m currently using the pharma grade BRS two part and will be switching to tropic Marin’s balling method. I’ve seen a post where BRS alk is 1.89 meq/l.

Problem is not sure how that was calc’d. Also, anyone know what tropic Marin’s potency is part B?

Just trying to avoid any alk swings and don’t want to wing it.

I've read that TM balling is a little more diluted than BRS. I will be switching to it in the future as well however.

.

I do not know what that means, but the dosing solution is far higher than that number. In think you just missed some decimal places. The potency of the normal BRS using carbonate (my recipe) is about 1,900 meq/L of alkalinity (5,300 dKH).

This calculator using the entry for my recipe #1 shows what effect it has when dosed:

Thanks! That figure I saw in another post so I’m glad I asked. Appreciate the help. I’ll compare the meq/l to the tropic Marin’s potency.
