So my 5 month QT woes are almost over. My system and fish appear to be disease free. My achilles has been spotless for over a week now after hypo (1.009) for praziquantel resistant flukes. Previously everyone was treated with praziquantel and cupermine over a 76 day period.
Now the new stuff... I am about to place my fish back in the system and I look at my Hippo and notice that it has a swollen pectoral fin and it is not using it much. It looks like potentially an injury or also it could be a side effect of going from hypo to normal. I went form 1.009 to 1.025 over there period of about 10 days and usually went up 2ppt per day but sometimes less because of time constraints in my day.
I can't get a pic because this little guy hides all the time he is easily my most skittish fish. But it looks like a bloating/swelling on the front side of its pectoral fin on one side. It also looks like it has some laceration on its face same side around the eye (potentially LLE) The other side is perfect. No aggression of any kind.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
