I was interested in possibly buying some sympodium and clove polyps. Probably orange striped clove polyps. I'm looking for other people that have these to see what they think of them and was hoping to see some pictures of what it looks like in an actual tank. Seeing the pictures of the frags online never looks the same as seeing it in person. Thanks.

I have some cloves but I don't have a good pic, mine are just green center cloves. They don't seem to bother anything. Top right hand corner.

I personally wouldn't do cloves, they can spread alot, and from what i've seen aren't the easiest to remove.
For sympodium, much more controlled growth, for me easy to frag. Just don't buy into the the 'rare' tag some places have given it, and as such a price tag to match. It is not 'rare' and grows at a pretty good clip.

They are two of my favorite corals. mine melted after a bout of chemiclean (wont' do that again). they do grow fast though, cloves moreso than sympodium though.

great question.... i recently picked up some orange tipped cloves because i thought they were cool.... are they gonna over run my tank?????
