My system, as planned, is a 48x39x25 203g setup. I'll be setting on tile and reinforcing the crawl space underneath. Professionally. Also, I'll be doing electrical work to bring an extra circuit to bear. Not me! Someone else. Again, that I'll pay for! I really wish I would have learned this when I was younger!!!! Anyway, since I'm old and arthritic, I'm just gonna copy my signature and past it hear. Tear it apart if you will!!!!

New Build (Summer 2025 Launch): Glass Cages EXT coast to coast, 203g (Low Fe Glass) (48"x39"x25"), 60g Sump, Pentair UV 57W (Closed Loop), Algae Scrubber, RO Regal 200-SSS INT Skimmer, 2x Syncra SDC 9.0 RTN (Minimum/Maximum RTN Head Pressure: ~700/3600GPH [2.5x/18x each]), 3x MP40's, 2x 800W Finnex Titanium HTRS w/ 2x Controllers, 2x Photon V2 Pro 48", Other: 150# TBS Base and 50# TBS Premium LR (TBS), 1-2" SB (TBS)

That sounds like a really cool new system.
Smart to outsource the structural and electrical stuff if you don’t know someone or have the DIY skills. I wouldn’t attempt it myself.
Didn’t see a stand listed. Is that going to be from GC as well?
Following my fellow PNW’er to watch the progress.

Sounds like good planning. Post Pics along the way

Yep. Stand comes with. I'll have the sump rigged to roll out the side door after disconnecting the plumbing above. That'll be my only DIY project.

Will do. Man, with what I've planned, I'm looking at about 12K. Maybe more. And my wife OK'd it. Her only request was that I spend all the money up front. She doesn't want a repeat of 2008 through '13, where my tank was a money pit. I'm a lucky man.

Can I suggest of course only if you have room but bumping to a 6 ft tank? 6 ft allows a lot more potential fish like some of the bigger tangs!
Thought about that. Only problem is that my house is 1900 Sq ft. of small rooms. Six feet would work downstairs, but I'm never down there. Once I get the garage fixed up and the pool table in (a 1912 Brunswick that came from my great-grandather), I'll put a six footer I there. It will double as my music room, so those will be rock and roll fish!

Hey man! I can't wait to see this system up and running!

Quick question: What algae turf scrubber are you going with?

And an observation: I hope you're planning at least a 20 amp and maybe even a 30 amp circuit for your system. Your 2 x 800 watt heaters would just about max out a regular 15 amp circuit all by themselves.

I'll have two 15 Amp circuits. Yeah, I added up the wattage and had no choice. Need to get an electrician over here to borrow from the kitchen. And I'll have a Surf Algae Scrubber.

Thanks for the follow up! I think that's the Santa Monica Surf scrubber? That's what I'm considering too, it was recommended to me as a solid choice. And glad to hear you're going with 2 x 15 amp circuits, that makes a lot of sense. I'm working on a 150, and for my tank I'm looking to have a single 20 amp circuit installed, that's all I have left for slots in my breaker box, and I think it should be good for me.

Yeah, I've gotta get a new box here soon. I think I'm actually maxed out. It's been there since 1978.

I have one extra slot for a breaker in our box. I had a guy here just today for a small plumbing disaster, he looked quickly and seems to think adding the circuit won't be any problem, all it takes is money lol!
