T-5 lighting for a 20g long?

I am considering setting up a 20g long (30x12x12). I plan on trying out t-5 lighting. I just need some pointers on how many bulbs to use and what color combo. How high of the top to place bulbs. If anyone could chime in it would be much appreciated. It will be a SPS tank. Would 4 24w bulbs be enough or should I go with 6 bulbs? I plan on using a diy set up.

I was using a 4-24watt (2 blue+ and 2 aqua blue) over my 20gal long frag tank. I think I had it around 4-6 inches off the water. I liked it allot. When I decide to set the frag tank back up I'm going to be using the same light.

I think you can use a work horse 5 ballast and put 3 T5 bulbs to it. I would suggest two aquablue+ and one pure actinic

I have a 20L for a frag tank and plan on doing a 4 bulb T5 fixture. With that fixture you should be able to handle pretty much any SPS you want. Just make sure you get nice quality bulbs and all. Thats equally important.

Bulbs and reflectors are your most important decision here, I have a frag area in my sump that is lit by only 3 24" T5's on a Workhorse 5 ballast, and my SPS do well there. I use 2x GE 6.5K and a Single Blue + for now, but I plan on changing that later. Originally these lamps were used to grow Chaeato algae. ;)
