I am getting ready (probably tomorrow/today technically) to mount my T5/Radion hybrids.....

My tank is shallow, only 18” tall, 20” front-to-back.
12” above water sound good? Will be a bit before I can get a par meter again

Sounds good actually. I run my 6 bulb T5 setup about 6 inches from the water. I get 500 par at the top of my rocks, and about 130 at the sandbed. Seems to work for me.

I had lots of success when I had my Ati powermodule about 8 inches above my 24 inch tall tank.
when I changed over to a 20 inch tall tank and had the light 8 inches above my tank a few of my prized bleached. Now I have the light about 12 inches above the tank.
