T5 vs LED Coverage

The short LED bars are Reefbrite. The longer bars are Orphek. The center LEDs are Reefi Uno 2.0. There are four rows of T5 that are not on in the pic.

Notice the shadowing on the LED only lit coral.

Here is the same coral with the T5 on. Look how the underside is better lit.

I'm not sure if it's an apples to apples comparison here (you may have more T5 lighting than LED), but I agree you're getting nice lighting with the combination.

I don’t know. Most LED users just use modules or add a couple of bars to their modules and call it a day. LED bars don’t provide the same coverage as T5.

There is absolutely no question.
LEDs don't provide the same coverage T5 does.
They are different technologies with different qualities.
And that is not an opinion, it's fact.

T5 and halides are best At getting the sides and under imo

AI Blades prove near T5 like spread. From some of the videos I have seen on YouTube, there is T5 like coverage underneath the corals as well.

ReefBreeders are coming out with something similar. There is not a lot of info on it yet.

It seems to me that LED lights with individual lens are quickly becoming outdated.
