Taking perfect mobile photos without a filter

Google recently released an update for the photo app that adds a new mode - "Night Shot."

This mode was to help take photos when there is little light - it also has an unintended benefit for us aquarists. Check out the two photos below...

It does very well in very blue/low light situations. Color representation is nearly identical to real life.

These were all taken without any filters/modifications.

Indeed it is, but you can sideload the APK for Google's photo app and unlock the feature on any Android device.

It can be finicky sometimes, but when it works, it does a great job.
