Tampa area friends

Hey all, just thought I'd see if there was anyone in the area that wanted to be reef buds. My wife loves the tank, but does not love discussions about nitrate and equipment! So I was looking to see if anyone in the area was looking for friends in general I suppose, but that we at least have reef keeping in common.

A bit about me; I'm 33, married and just had my first kid 4 months ago! (You try talking about aquariums with a new mom). I work in the wine industry, would say I'm a democrat, and love building things, reading, scifi, cooking and whiskey.

If anyone's interested I suppose we could post here to start and see who is around and go from there. No pressure or anything, just wanted to see who's out there.

I’m not sure about the current status, but there are/were multiple reef clubs in Tampa. I don’t know if any of them hold in-person meeting or just communicate on FB or other places online. Good luck!

Tampa Bay Reef Club is pretty active on Facebook and holds monthly meetings throughout the bay area.
