So go with CtenochaetusPersonally I wouldn’t do Acanthurus trigostegus as they can get active and Aggressive IME. They’re nice but I personally think they need 8’ tanks.
Yeah, they’d be best IME. I love mine more than I loved my old guys (An FTS of my 3’ tank below - Everyone got along but I did accidentally lose them in an issue I thought I could control, Ammonia spike over hypothermia). I’m not sure if it shows my old Regal though. So go with Ctenochaetus
It varies. I have 19 tangs together and virtually no fighting other than over food and 8ft tank ideal but not necessary.Personally I wouldn’t do Acanthurus trigostegus as they can get active and Aggressive IME. They’re nice but I personally think they need 8’ tanks.
That’s interesting as I’ve discovered trigostegus to be extremely aggressive compared to others. It varies. I have 19 tangs together and virtually no fighting other than over food and 8ft tank ideal but not necessary.
Its all about managaing water quality and diet and Acanthurus trigostegus is my most peaceful fish other than tomini

I know of at least 10 others with these fish that had same peaceful experience causing me to order mine and I have no regrets. That’s interesting as I’ve discovered trigostegus to be extremely aggressive compared to others.
