Can you feed tangs Chaeto from your sump? I would think yes as it is green and they love that salad stuff.

You could but why?
Some could get stuck in the return pump.
 
Just FYI, I put a lil of mine on a clip and they really didn't touch it much at all.
 
Fish don't really like chaeto.
