I’m curious as well to these answersI see some issues.
I suspect flukes and recommend a 5 min FW dip to confirm.
Kole tang has a serious bacterial infection on it's mouth.
Looks like some lympho as well.
What are you using to test copper? What level are you treating at?
How long have they been in copper?
I fully and respectfully defer to @HotRocks and @4FordFamily. The only 2-cents I have to add is that I have a Kole Tang in copper now that has lost a lot of color— I assume that is a temporary outcome in a hospital tank with copper, even in a best-case scenario (?)
I have had him in qt for 3 weeks now he looks pal and has bumps on him ..
I have kept the cooper qt 2.0
And I use the API copper test
Ok so you think I need all this right? The problem is coppersafe is inconsistent. The API kit is hard to read. I would recommend a Hanna Checker.
The kole needs antibiotics.
With it being a mouth infection. I would use sulfaplex, kanaplex, and furan-2. I have safely combined these three antibiotics with copper. I was using copper power at 1.75ppm.
The seachem test doesn't read high enough to use with coppersafe.Yeah I agree with getting a different copper test. I use Seachem and it does a good job and won’t break the bank. API doesn’t give a good reading
