I have a 200g mixed reef, 6’ long display. Amongst other fish, two tangs currently and I think the tank can handle two more without trouble. Beyond that, to be seen.

Current tang occupants are both 3.5”, Desjardinni and powder brown. Addition of a blue hippo is non negotiable per my wife. Looking for suggestions for a fourth, to be added at the same time as the hippo (and quarantined together of course).

What do yall like for variety and compatibility?

Also, if you like captive bred, Surge Marine Life has captive bred yellow belly hippo tangs. This is the first time they’ve been offered commercially.

$149 with free shipping is a pretty good deal.

Yellow or a bristle tooth come to mind but the only yellows available are babies so it may but be a good idea. My two spot bristletooth tooth has been with me 1.5 years and my convict 4 years (separate tanks) and they are non stop grazers.

I would do tank raised yellow belly and tank raised yellow tang. Desjardinni can get HUGE and powder browns can get really mean so just keep an eye on them.
