I'm looking to start my first reef tank and have been browsing on clist for deals. A guy has a 93 gallon cube tank for sale at a good price. I would like to start from scratch since it's my first tank and that seems like half the fun.

Anyways he has what he calls two "large" tangs. A hippo and yellow. Attached is a picture below. My thoughts are to trade them in to the LFS for some start up purchases and since this tank likely isn't large enough for them anyways. So what would you guys feel is a fair trade in price for these two?

Thanks!

Kudos to you for doing the right thing.

I can't comment on fair value, but if it was me, I'd just be happy getting those two guys to a proper size tank, even if I had to give them away.

LFS usually give 1/3-1/4 store credit for the retail value of the fish. Some won't give it until the fish sell.

dang dude...why do ppl get fangs in these tiny tanks I don’t get it
