I was wondering if anybody has ever had tangs breed in their tank or have tried to breed them. From what I know and have been able to find through research they are naturally a hard to fish to reproduce in a home environment. Any info would be much appreciated.

As far as I know, it has never been done. If they do breed and lay eggs the fry don't make it past day 6.

Do you know why they don't make it? Being eaten or the fry doesn't have anything to eat? I have read that recently they bred blue hippos and they required different food for each stage of the early life, starting with plankton.
