I currently have a 180 gallon Marineland, coral and fish that I bought from my LFS. I want a bigger tank, so I've spoke to Felix at Reef Savvy, and Chris at CTC. Great guys, but my wallet won't handle their prices. I have access to the Marineland 300DD for 1400.00, or the 265 gallon I think it is for 1600.00. The 300DD has starfire front. I also have thought about going acrylic.
Suggestions are appreciated, pictures make it even better. I'm in Central KY btw. Thanks!

Look into those Marineland DD's. They have a certain failure rate and many members of this forum have stated problems they have had with them. Customer service seems to be a big problem too.

Check out Glass Cages. They are somewhat in your back yard and make a good product that may be more to the liking of your wallet.

I'm curious. What was the quote from CTC? I saw an absolutely awesome CTC 300 DD at WWC in Orlando. Now that was a bad aquarium. Everything I wanted.

Stock tanks are your best bet if your budget is around the $1500.
I always ask "what is that you really want?"
If you answer that as I'm thinking what you want I would keep saving my money till you had enough for what you really want.
Don't get me wrong, the 300 and 265 are great tanks especially if you build a great custom stand, it will make all the difference in the world.

I was looking at Visio tanks as they were less on cost than others. I was getting quotes under 1500 for around 250+ gallons in custom sizes. You can check their stock sizes too, may be less. At MACNA some of their tanks looked nice. Local fish stores can probably get quotes as they are wholesale only. Never had one, was just looking at options. Not as nice as places like crystal dynamics but not as much $ either.
