Tank Back Up Power

Hey all, I was just curious on what's everyone's thoughts/ or what do you use for backup power.
Here in the Tampa Bay, Florida area and normal summer storm can knock out power for an hour or two sometimes.
I have a generator for longer periods (hurricanes, we have to have those), however I'm just looking/ curious for something in that 1-4 hour mark that I just don't have to worry about it... that'll kick on and we'll be just fine...
And is flow all that is really needed on back power?

I just noticed another thread mentioning some back up power suggestions that were good. I think I mean more (inline) suggestions as I'm not home as often as I'd like right now, and want to make sure it's always going to be okay.

QUESTION OF THE DAY - Cheap but effective battery backup for your aquarium: Do you have one?

It's gonna happen. You will lose power at some point. MOST of us will never experience a catastrophic power outage where we lose our whole reef tank but preparing and mitigating can sure give you peace of mind and offer assurance IF it did happen. But do we have to have a super expensive home...

It’s plugged into ac power, when power goes out it automatically switches to battery power and back again when power comes on.

It’s plugged into ac power, when power goes out it automatically switches to battery power and back again when power comes on.

I like the big lithium iron phosphate batteries like those from EcoFlow or Jackery. I think there are a lot of companies making them now, not haven’t been keeping up since I bought mine. They can store a lot of power, don’t loose much charge over time like lithium ion batteries and you can set them up like a UPS where they kick on when the power shuts off. Might be a pricier option but they’re convenient and I use mine for camping and events as well.

I have battery backup on my Hydros. I have not had an issue with it lasting over 4 hours but the only thing left running during the power outage is my flow pumps. Those are slowed down quite a bit by the Hydros when the power is off. Everything else is turned off by the Hydros. I also have a UPS for my cable modem and router but they are the only things on it.
